Creating a Home of Your Own
Having a place to call home is so much more than the bricks and mortar. Home should be the place where we feel safe, comfortable and reflects who we are as person. While it is a daunting task, families can plan with their loved one together to create an individualized housing model that is sustainable and offers long term peace of mind.

Support Circles
We need each other. We thrive when given the opportunity to contribute and fill meaningful roles in our society. This is why I am so passionate about working with people to build their own support circles. Facilitation can be helpful in bringing people together and also staying together for the long haul.

Family Coaching
As family members we all want what is best for our loved one, yet sometimes it is hard to find common ground. Sometimes it is helpful to have a third person perspective that looks to ensure that your loved one’s vision for their life remains front and centre. I work with people and their family members on aligning their vision to lay the foundation from which a good life can grow and flourish.

Education Advocacy
Having worked in a school board as a Transition Facilitator for 10 years, I have a very unique insight into the education world. I can help families navigate the inner workings of the school system, and how it intersects with all aspects of the community and home. I can help families to advocate for the right to an education that is individualized and outcomes based.

Transition Planning
What is your vision for life after publicly funded education? What are the variables you need to be aware of as you move through the school system into adulthood? What options do you have with, and without a Secondary School Diploma? A successful transition plan involves not just school, but the family, and community organizations that support the family. I will help you to determine what your vision is, and how to achieve it.

Individualized Income Generation
If competitive employment is not something you would like to pursue, what other options do you have for an income? There are many examples of people who face barriers to competitive employment who are proud owners of their own small business. Individualized Income Generation is a term used to describe business ownership for those that need to have an employment opportunity highly customized to their skill level and appropriate accommodation to address barriers. This can be creating and selling a product, or delivering a service. It's entirely up to the individual.

Crafting Intentional Support
Everyone needs someone to help them on their journey. We may not all have endless family, friend, or social relationships but sometimes we don’t realize the impact we have had on others’ lives until we start the conversation. People with varying roles, viewpoints and strengths can have a positive impact on our lives. Through a series of conversations, we will identify people whose role in your life will be a valued part of your future.

Microboards
Once intentional relationships are identified, how do we define their roles? What responsibilities will they have? How can you ensure your loved one has a circle of support around them when you can no longer provide all that is necessary? Your loved one can create their own Board of Directors to ensure that they are living a full, valued, and meaningful life. Creating a microboard can support you in planning, decision making, foster relationships and opportunities while minimizing stress on family members and caregivers.

Mentorships &
Pre-Employment Readiness
Looking to take the next steps for your future goals? Hoping to secure a job or a career that suits your strengths and interests but don’t know where to start? Let’s get together for 1:1 goal assertation where we can brainstorm together. We can look to a mentorship with others already in your desired field, or explore group or individualized employment workshops. We can also use real life events to practice our decision making and problem-solving skills.

Cross Sectoral Navigation
In life, things can happen without notice. When these crisis situations occur, it can be frustrating and hard to understand the complexity and limitations of the supports and services that currently exist and how to implement them to provide solutions that meet current urgent needs. System navigation can be daunting for those of us who work in it, let alone someone new to it. Sometimes all you need is a supportive ear and a lending hand to walk you through the steps required. Although we cannot always solve a crisis, there are things we can do together to mitigate potential risks and negative outcomes. With a focus on pre-planning and by addressing potential situations we can do the best we can to navigate together.
